Job summary

GAP Group Limited in Watford is seeking an experienced HGV Driver with HIAB to join our nationwide Non Mechanical division. You will load, deliver and collect hire equipment, demonstrate equipment if required, and complete all checks and administration efficiently.

The role requires a valid HGV licence, Driver CPC (35 hours) and preferably HIAB training, with prior experience in similar industries. We offer a competitive salary, bonus scheme and benefits including pension and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• HGV Licence and CPC required or in progress for the role.
• HIAB training is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in a similar industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to customer sites.
• Carry out relevant checks and complete administration for hires.
• Provide demonstrations of equipment when required.

The Role:

Our nationwide Non Mechanical division hire a range of equipment including crowd control barriers, scaffolding and road plates to the events industry alongside our more traditional business sectors within the construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

The duties of the HGV Driver with HIAB will include loading, delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from the customer site in a timely and professional manner, demonstration (if required) and completing any relevant checks and administration involved for the hire.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving experience in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.

Applicants applying for the role of HGV Driver with HIAB should have/be:

• HGV Licence
• HIAB Training preferred
• Driver CPC - 35hours must have been completed
• Previous experience in a similar industry
