GAP Group Limited is seeking a Regional HGV Driver for its Non-Mechanical division. You will transport plant and equipment across your region, based from a home depot, and cover for sickness or holidays as needed.

You will also train existing drivers on safe loading and unloading, with RoSPA and NPORS qualifications provided. A company vehicle and fuel card are supplied, and some regional travel and overnight stays may be required.

Formación

• Significant experience driving HGVs; loading, delivering and collecting plant equipment.
• Class 2 licence with Driver CPC (≥35 hours) and valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Strong health and safety understanding and ability to follow protocols.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

The Role:

Our nationwide Non-Mechanical division hires a range of equipment including crowd control barriers, security fencing, trench boxes, magnetic rail barriers and road plates to companies within a wide range of sectors.

The Regional HGV Driver is responsible for transporting our plant and equipment quickly and efficiently around their assigned region. Based out of a home depot you will travel throughout the region covering for sickness and holidays, or where additional resource is required. You will also be responsible for training existing HGV Drivers on safe loading and unloading of vehicles – training will be provided by RoSPA and you will receive an NPORS qualification in loading and unloading.

As the role provides support across a region you will be provided with a company vehicle and fuel card and will be required to stay away from home if covering in remote areas.

About You

• Significant experience working within an HGV driving role loading, delivering and collecting plant equipment from customer sites is essential
• Class 2 driving licence, Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed and valid Digital Tachograph card
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
