Job summary

FGS Rentals, based in Aylesford, is hiring an HGV Class 2 driver to join its transport team. You will deliver and collect plant items mainly within Kent, Sussex, Surrey and lower Essex.

Role requires plant loading/securement experience, CPC and valid licence, with overhead overtime on weekends where applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV licence and CPC
• Experience with plant loading and securing
• Clean driving record and strong punctuality

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles with flatbed trailers
• Comply with WTD and EU drivers' hours
• Load/unload plants and secure loads safely
• Coordinate with transport team and site staff
• Deliver and collect plant items and provide courteous service

Skills

Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver

Location: Aylesford (ME20 7PW)

Salary: Hourly rate negotiable based on experience + enhanced overtime for Saturdays and Sundays

Job type: Full time, Permanent

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Occasional Saturday work available when required (optional)
• Start time: Variable depending on the delivery schedule (generally 6am)FGS Rentals, based in Aylesford, are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 plant driver to join our expanding transport team. The successful candidate must have previous plant loading and securing experience.

As a plant driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting plant items mainly within Kent, Sussex, Surrey, and lower Essex. Our plant fleet consists of excavators, telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, and access equipment.

Duties

• Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles with flatbed trailers
• Driving with compliance with WTD and EU driver's hours regulations
• Loading and unloading plants and access machines and ensuring all loads are secure and safe
• Working closely with the transport team and site staff
• Provide a seamless customer service, arriving on time and unload orders in a courteous and professional manner

Skills

• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
• Plant machinery experience
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph
• Minimum 1 years HGV driving experience
• Plant loading & securing experience
• Clean Driving Licence
