Job summary

White Trading Limited is seeking an ex-military/veteran Class 2 HGV driver to join a professional driving operation in Grays and surrounding areas. You will drive an 18-tonne curtain-sided vehicle, completing multi-drop deliveries across London and the South and maintain high safety standards.

Mon-Fri, typically 08:00–17:00, with no evenings or weekends and flexible start/finish times. A long-term civilian career leveraging military discipline and reliability is offered.

Qualifications

• UK Armed Forces service required.
• Full HGV Class 2 / Category C licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience.
• Professional, reliable and disciplined.
• Good awareness of road safety and compliance.
• Able to work independently and manage a multi-drop schedule.
• Knowledge of London and the South is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Driving an 18-tonne curtain-sided vehicle.
• Completing multiple collections and deliveries across London and the South.
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Completing all relevant delivery and collection paperwork.
• Maintaining compliance with drivers’ hours, tachograph and road transport legislation.
• Providing a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, secure and in good condition.

You will be responsible for driving an 18-tonne curtain-sided vehicle, completing multiple collections and deliveries across London and the South.

The role offers an excellent work-life balance, operating Monday to Friday with no evening or weekend work. Start and finish times can also be adjusted earlier where required.
