Job summary

i4 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 2 Long Distance HGV Driver for a permanent, full-time role based in Grays, Essex. The position offers weekly pay and nights out, with automatic FM Volvos sleeper cab curtain side tail lift trucks provided.

You will work Monday to Friday with nights out, doing multiple deliveries/collections across the UK. ADR is beneficial but not required; a valid digital tachograph and CPC card are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be keen, efficient and have sound safe working practices.
• ADR licence in packages is beneficial but not required.
• Valid digital tacho.
• Up-to-date CPC Card.

Responsibilities

• Palletised transport with multiple deliveries/collections across the UK.
• Nights out are part of the role and you will work Monday to Friday.
• Work directly for a client, with the company as the point of contact for truck issues.
• Typical day involves 6–8 deliveries/collections and 12–13 hours on average.

Salary:£900-1100 per week depending on hours/overtime

The work is consistent, i.e.it is a full-time, permanent job with weekly pay and your own allocated truck.

The trucks available are automatic FM Volvo’s sleeper cab curtain side tail lift.

About the Role:

• This 18T HGV Driver role involves working directly for our customer, on contract.
• Our client will be your point of contact for all operational work; however, we will be your point of contact should you have any issues with the truck or what the customer is asking of you.
• Nights out will be a part of this job.

We are looking forexperiencedmulti drop drivers ONLY.

Outline of the Work:

• This logistics role is based out of our customer’s site off Oliver Road in Grays, aiming to be at your first job for 8am
• Monday to Friday with nights out
• Customers try to route you to the same areas where possible, helping you get to know the customers and the quickest routes
• If you return to the depot after completing your run and the customer asks you to do something further within your 11 hours, you’ll be expected to carry out this work (this isn’t regular but worth noting)
• A typical Class 2 long distance driver will complete approximately 6-8 deliveries/collections per day and work around 12-13 hours per day on average.

• Always be conscious of the health and safety of yourself and the people around you
• Valid digital tacho
• Up-to-date CPC Card

This 18T HGV Driver role involves palletised transport work, doing multiple deliveries or collections per day to commercial premises across the UK.

Each morning, you’ll be expected to put your card in, do your walk-round checks, go to the office to get your consignments for the day (or continue on from secure parking via SNAP account), check your load, secure it as necessary, and commence driving - calling ahead to your first customer to advise an ETA where possible.
