Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking a Class 1 Driver in Thame, Oxfordshire. The role involves regular overnight driving to palletised freight partners, with a focus on safe, compliant operations and professional representation of the company.

The ideal candidate has CPC C1 qualification and at least 12 months Class 1 experience, can work independently, and will be supported with CPC training paid by the employer. Salary £34,000 - £37,000 DOE.

Responsibilities

• Drive to palletised partners to deliver and collect freight.
• Support the Transport Manager and Shift Supervisors to meet health & safety regulations.
• Keep CPC training up to date (paid for by company).
• Comply with health & safety regulations as set out by company and regulators.
• Interact with pallet partners & colleagues politely and with respect.
• Raise issues through the appropriate channels in a professional manner.
• Represent the company with appearance and that of your vehicle reflecting the brand.

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Class 1 Driver on behalf of one of our clients.

This role involves regular overnight driving to either of the palletised freight partners.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Class 1 Driver:

• To drive to the palletised partners to deliver and collect freight.
• Supporting the Transport Manager and Shift Supervisors where required to ensure all health & safety regulations are met.
• Ensuring that you are pro-active in ensuring your CPC training is kept up to date (paid for by company).
• Complying with all health & safety regulations as set out by company and regulatory bodies.
• Dealing with all pallet partners & colleagues politely and with respect.
• Ensuring any issues are raised through the appropriate channels in a professional manner.
• Acting as a positive representative for the company at all times, ensuing your appearance and that of your vehicle, always reflects this.

Skills and Qualifications for the Class 1 Driver:

• Ability to work on your own.
• CPC C1 qualification required.
• At least 12 months experience driving a Class 1 vehicle.
