Job summary

Smart Solutions are recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client in the Farnham, GU9 area. You will drive a refuse lorry and assist loaders with collecting/emptying bins across local sites.

A minimum 6 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving is essential, along with a UK HGV Class 2 licence (minimum 12 months), Digital tachograph card and CPC card. Good teamwork and communication are required. Immediate start with temp-to-perm opportunities.

Qualifications

• Good team working skills and good communication.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in waste & recycling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry.
• Collect refuse from residential premises across the local area.
• Assist with loading and emptying bins and ensure all tasks are completed.
• Maintain awareness of other road users and drive safely.

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday | 6.00 am till 3 pm

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our successful client based in the Farnham, GU9 area. Our client who specialises in Waste Management is transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment.

Successful candidates may be assigned to various sites within the area.

Duties & Responsibilities

The right person will be responsible for driving the refuse lorry and assisting loaders with collecting/emptying bins from residential premises, returning them where necessary, and ensuring all additional work and missed bins are completed.

A minimum 6 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving is essential.

• Drive and operate a Class 2 dustcart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry
• Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week
• Ensure completion of all additional work and missed bins
• Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
• Maintain awareness of other vehicles or people on the road and operate the lorry safely

Requirements

• UK HGV Class 2 driving licence (minimum 12 months)
• Digital tachograph card & CPC card
• Good team working skills and good communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
