Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited are recruiting on behalf of a well known client in the Leicester area for multiple HGV Class 2 drivers. The role involves 6-8 deliveries and 4-5 collections, manual handling, updating delivery statuses, and performing pre-trip/post-trip inspections. Hours are Monday to Friday starting at 08:00.

Pay rate is £16.36 PAYE per hour. 1 year driving experience required, full UK licence with Class 2 entitlement, DCPC and tachograph card, and no more than 6

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with Class 2 entitlement (CAT C).
• 1 year experience.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• 6-8 deliveries and 4-5 collections.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am starts
