Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Leicester area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am starts. Pay Rates: £16.36 PAYE Per Hour. Location: Leicester, LE3. Job Type: Temp to perm. This role involves 6-8 deliveries and 4-5 collections, manual handling, and ensuring safety and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with Class 2 entitlement (CAT C).
• 1 year experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• 6-8 deliveries and 4-5 collections.
• Manual handling involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations and company policies to maintain safety on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
