Job summary

Sprintshift NW Limited is seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver in Dukinfield for a full-time role. You will deliver high-end furniture and related goods to customers across the UK and Europe, working in a two-man team to ensure safe delivery and installation.

The role requires CPC qualification, strong communication, physical fitness for manual handling, and flexibility for night-out assignments with allowances and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• CPC qualification is required.
• Excellent literacy and communication for paperwork and customer contact.
• Preference for experience handling high-end goods.
• Must be physically fit for manual handling.
• Capable of strapping and securing awkward loads.
• Flexible with nights out and varied start/finish times.

Responsibilities

HGV Class 2 Driver | Dukinfield | Full Time | £15.50 per hour + Expenses, Night Out Allowance & Bonuses

Our client is a Manchester-based transport, warehousing and logistics provider offering bespoke delivery services throughout the UK and Europe.

With secure warehousing facilities and specialist two-man home delivery services, they are committed to providing a personal, professional and reliable service to customers of all sizes.

The Role

• Deliver high-end quality household furniture, garden furniture, bedrooms, kitchens and bathroom systems directly to end consumers, along with steel manufactured products to businesses
• Ensure goods are handled with the utmost care
• Follow planned routes and think on your feet when faced with obstacles and mishaps on the road
• Communicate effectively with customers, installation teams and the operations desk
• Be courteous and polite at all times, maintaining a good appearance
• Work well as part of a two-man team

What We're Looking For

• Must be CPC qualified
• Excellent literacy and communication skills for paperwork and customer contact
• Previous experience handling high-end quality goods is preferred
• Physically fit due to manual handling requirements
• Confident in strapping and securing obscure loads, i.e. loose kitchen units, canteen lockers, appliances, etc
• Flexible with availability, night-outs and varying start and finish times
• Overnight stays are required as vehicles can be scheduled on 2-3-day runs. Overnight allowances are paid upfront to cover costs
