Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder seeks a dependable HGV Class 2 Driver in Dukinfield to join a growing transport and logistics team. You will deliver high-end furniture and related goods, ensuring careful handling and safe delivery to customers and businesses across the UK.

The role requires CPC qualification, strong literacy and communication skills, and experience with high-end goods. Overnight stays may be scheduled on 2–3 day runs, with night-out allowances and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• CPC qualification is required.
• Excellent literacy and communication for paperwork and customer contact.
• Experience handling high-end quality goods is preferred.
• Physically fit due to manual handling.
• Flexible with night-outs and varying start/finish times.
• Overnight stays may be required with 2–3 day runs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-end furniture and other goods directly to end consumers and to businesses.
• Ensure goods are handled with care during transit and delivery.
• Follow planned routes and adapt to obstacles on the road.
• Communicate effectively with customers, installation teams and the operations desk.
• Be courteous and maintain a professional appearance.
• Work well as part of a two-man team.

HGV Class 2 Driver | Dukinfield | Full Time | £15.50 per hour + Expenses, Night Out Allowance & Bonuses

Our client is a Manchester-based transport, warehousing and logistics provider offering bespoke delivery services throughout the UK and Europe.

With secure warehousing facilities and specialist two-man home delivery services, they are committed to providing a personal, professional and reliable service to customers of all sizes.

The Role

• Deliver high-end quality household furniture, garden furniture, bedrooms, kitchens and bathroom systems directly to end consumers, along with steel manufactured products to businesses
• Ensure goods are handled with the utmost care
• Follow planned routes and think on your feet when faced with obstacles and mishaps on the road
• Communicate effectively with customers, installation teams and the operations desk
• Be courteous and polite at all times, maintaining a good appearance
• Work well as part of a two-man team

What We're Looking For

• Must be CPC qualified
• Excellent literacy and communication skills for paperwork and customer contact
• Previous experience handling high-end quality goods is preferred
• Physically fit due to manual handling requirements
• Confident in strapping and securing obscure loads, i.e. loose kitchen units, canteen lockers, appliances, etc
• Flexible with availability, night-outs and varying start and finish times
• Overnight stays are required as vehicles can be scheduled on 2-3-day runs. Overnight allowances are paid upfront to cover costs
