Job summary

Veolia in Camden is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to join our growing UK fleet and support essential waste and resource services in local communities.

This role is 39 hours per week, with shifts 2pm–10pm, and pays £18.62 per hour plus Veolia benefits. You will handle routine vehicle checks, comply with safety rules, and assist with loading as needed; prior Class 2 experience and valid CPC/Tachograph are required.

Qualifications

• Must have full valid driving licence.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience.
• CPC Qualification Card up to date.
• Tachograph Card valid.
• Basic English comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV vehicles such as 18t Dust Cart, 7.5t Cage or 12t Scarab as required.
• Clear any waste spillage at the time of collection.
• Follow site rules and health & safety procedures.
• Comply with road transport regulations, including weight limits.
• Leave the tipper empty and cab clean at end of shift.
• Assist with loading bins & containers when needed.
• Perform daily vehicle checks as per operator handbook.

Hours: 39 hours weekly ( shift time is 2pm - 10pm)

What You'll be doing:

• Will be driving HGV Vehicles such as 18t Dust Cast, 7.5t Cage or 12t Scarab depending on business needs for the day/week.
• Ensure that any spillage of waste is cleared at the time of collection to leave the site litter free
• When entering premises, comply with any site rules and Health & Safety procedures
• Comply with all road traffic legislation in relation to your duties including parking restriction, security and weight of loads. The Company operates a zero tolerance on overweight vehicles.
• At the end of the shift, ensure that the tipper is left empty and that the cab is clean and clear of litter, uniform and personal effects.
• Helping out loading bins & containers when required.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.

What we're looking for:

Essential:

• Full valid driving licence
• Previous Class 2 experience
• Fully up to date Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of basic English

Desirable:

• Waste experience
