Job summary

Veolia in Fulham, London (SW6) is recruiting a Class 2 HGV driver. You’ll work 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday 1 PM to 9 PM, with a 48 minute unpaid break, and an option to join a 5-week cycle rota with an additional £380.04 per week.

Salary is £34,379.09 per year plus Veolia benefits. Key duties include inspections, safe vehicle operation, communication with management, reporting issues and maintaining the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and end-of-shift vehicle inspections.
• Operate the vehicle safely and in compliance with HGV regulations.
• Communicate with management and report any issues to the workshop.
• Ensure drivers' hours regulations and rest breaks are followed.
• Maintain a clean and well‑maintained vehicle.

Location: Hammersmith and Fulham, Bagleys Lane, Fulham, SW6 2QA

With the option to be in a 5 weeks cycle Rota with an additional £380.04 per week

What you'll be doing;

• Conducting pre-trip and end of shift vehicle inspections to ensure road worthiness and safety compliance.
• Operating the vehicle safely while adhering to traffic laws and HGV-specific regulations.
• Communicating with Management.
• Reporting any mechanical issues to the workshop.
• Ensuring compliance with drivers' hours regulations and taking mandatory rest breaks.
• Prior experience working within Waste sorting any issues and full compliance of our on-boarding ECHO.
• Maintaining a professional working relationship with Management and our clients.
• Following health and safety protocols.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and properly maintained.

What we're looking for;

Essential:

• Class 2 licence required
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
• Ability to work confidently within a team environment.
• Must have good communication skills.
