Job summary

Jewson Chichester is seeking a customer delivery driver to safely deliver building materials to customers with a professional approach. You will load, unload, and operate a crane, supporting team members as required in a varied role.

You may cover absences within a designated area and be assigned to the Chichester branch, with induction at our training academy and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 2 licence is required.
• CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card are required.
• Experience with lorry-mounted cranes is preferred.
• Multidrop experience is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers safely and professionally.
• Load and unload goods at customer sites.
• Operate the crane and assist teammates as needed.
• Cover absence within a designated area from Jewson Chichester and nearby branches.

What To Expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area. You will be assigned to our Jewson Chichester branch and required to cover a cluster of local branches if needed.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Experience with lorry-mounted crane preferred
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
