Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Bury St Edmunds area for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (C) to join on a part-time basis. Shifts run every Sunday and Friday, with potential for extra shifts, and hours typically start between 22:00 and 23:59. Location is Bury St.

Edmunds IP32. Pay rate is £18.17 per hour PAYE. The role involves secure transport of palletised parcels, paperwork accuracy, and may require loading/unloading assistance.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (C).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading using tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Shift: Every Sunday and Friday with potential to pick up additional shifts.

Hours: Between 22:00pm and 23:59pm Start time

Pay Rate: £18.17 per hour PAYE
