Smart Solutions in Carlisle is seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver for full-time, immediate start. The role involves completing multiple client-site runs, daily vehicle checks, defect reporting, and safe, efficient deliveries and collections.

You will work day and back shifts with no weekend work, ensuring consistent full-time hours and reliable employment. Ideal candidates hold a valid HGV2 licence, CPC, tachograph card, and a clean safety record.

Qualifications

• HGV 2 / Cat C licence held for at least 2 years.
• Maximum 6 penalty points with no DR, DD, DG, IN or TT codes.
• At least 90 days driving on Class 2 in the last 6 months.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card holder.
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete 2 runs per shift between client sites.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Report any defects promptly.
• Ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently.
• Follow DVSA regulations and company procedures.

Overview

HGV Class 2 Driver

Location: Carlisle (CA2 Area)

Pay Rate: £19.60 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time | Immediate Starts Available

Working Hours: This role requires flexibility to work both day and back shifts. Day shifts commence between 4:00am and 6:00am, while back shifts commence between 12:00pm and 2:00pm. Applicants must be able to accommodate both start time windows.
