Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Nottingham area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday with Nights 22:00-23:59 and Twilight 14:00-16:00. Ongoing role with potential permanent, paying £16.35/hr (Nights) and £15.43/hr (Twilight). Training provided after assessments.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 or 2 entitlement.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
• Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
• Complete a theory and practical assessment and paid training if assessment is successful.
