The Best Connection in Bury is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity. The role involves multi-drop deliveries with ~25% driving and ~75% picking and pallet-handling, plus delivering excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.

We are currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) HGV Drivers on behalf of a well-established wholesaler based in Bury.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for reliable and hardworking drivers looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Please note: This role involves approximately 25% driving and 75% picking and manual handling on the back of the truck. It is not a driving-only position.

The Role

• Multi-drop deliveries to customers across the daily delivery route.
• Approximately 25% driving and 75% picking and handling goods on the back of the truck.
• Breaking down pallets and manually handling goods at delivery points.
• Providing excellent customer service to customers.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
• Complying with road transport legislation and health and safety regulations.

Pay Rate

£15.80 per hour

Start Times

Start times are between 04:00 and 06:00, depending on the daily delivery route.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
