Job summary

Driver Hire Stockport are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to work for our client in Poynton. This is a Monday to Friday role with 8am starts, some flexibility may be required.

You will drive 7.5T, 12T and 18T vehicles on multi-drop deliveries and perform general warehouse duties when not driving. Training is provided for warehouse machinery.

This is a temp-to-perm role; after 65 shifts, you move to the client full-time. Apply by calling the office.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with CAT C, CPC and Tacho Card.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Knowledge of WTD and drivers' hours regulations, including tachograph entries.
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries.
• Excellent communication and paperwork management.
• Excellent timekeeping, honesty and reliability.
• Flexible with positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

Job description

Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to work for our well-respected client based in Poynton. This is a Monday- Friday role. 8am starts (Please note that some flexibility will be required with this role as you may be asked to start earlier/ finish later depending on the requirements of the company).

This is also a temp to perm position, so once 65 shifts are completed with Driver Hire you will go full time with our client.

Please also note if you finish your driving duties early you may be required to assist in the warehouse, this will include using various machinery. Full training will be provided by the client.

The role of this HGV Class 2 Driver:

• Driving 7.5T, 12T and 18T vehicles, multi-drop deliveries
• General warehouse duties when not driving
• Using various warehouse machinery, with training provided
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Ensuring compliance with WTD and drivers' hours regulations
• Completing manual tachograph entries when required
• Maintaining a professional and courteous approach with customers
• Always working safely and efficiently

Requirements of this HGV Class 2 Driver:

• A full UK driving licence, with minimum Category CAT C entitlement with a valid CPC and Tacho Card
• Good geographical knowledge required.
• Full knowledge of WTD regulations and drivers' hours regulations, including manual tachograph entries
• Previous experience of multi-drop deliveries
• Excellent communication and paperwork management skills
• Excellent timekeeping, honesty and reliability
• Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude

Pay Rates:

£16.25ph paid weekly via PAYE- Please note that this rate includes holiday pay, to have this paid separately it would be £14.50ph

Once full time with the client you will receive £14.50ph, 25 days' holiday per annum, uniform and PPE will be supplied.
