Job summary

People Solutions is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver for our client in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The role offers ongoing regular work with strong long-term prospects and weekly pay.

Shifts are Monday to Friday with a 04:00 start. You’ll perform multi‑drop deliveries, handle pallets, and ensure loads are secured while complying with transport regulations. New passes welcome.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• No minimum experience – New Passes welcome.
• Max six penalty points for minor infringements.
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations.

Responsibilities

• Completing multi-drop deliveries to shops, supermarkets & distribution centres.
• Delivering pallets or cages.
• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring loads are secured safely and correctly before transportation.
• Adhering to road traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules.
• Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers.
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing regular work and genuine long-term career opportunities, including temp-to-perm positions.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver or Pallet Network Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• 04:00 fixed start time

Rates of Pay:

£16.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Completing multi-drop deliveries to Shops, Supermarkets & Distribution Centres.
• Delivering of Pallets or Cages.
• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly before transportation

• Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• No minimum experience – New Passes Welcome!
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• No major endorsement codes
• A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• A good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial driving experience
• Multi-drop delivery experience

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
