Job summary

Bestway Group is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our UK delivery team. You will perform multi-drop deliveries from our depot, load and unload goods, and ensure on-time, accurate paperwork and customer payments where required.

You will represent the business with a focus on safe driving, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service while upholding company procedures. A valid HGV2 (Category C), CPC and Tachograph Card are essential.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 UK licence, CPC and tachograph card.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in a team or independently.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries within local area on time.
• Load and unload stock safely with depot team.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
• Receive payments where required and maintain records.
• Drive in compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries per procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock and equipment security.
• Uphold high standards of customer service.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE.
• Maintain depot and vehicle housekeeping; keep docs up to date.

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team.

You will be responsible for delivering orders from our Delivery Centre or Hub to customers, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. As a key representative of the business, you will provide excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all transport regulations and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive responsibly, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly and maintaining accurate records.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock, and equipment security at all times.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure PPE is used correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for both the vehicle and depot.
• Ensure all transport compliance documentation is maintained in accordance with company guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence, Driver Qualification Card (CPC), and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent service.
