Job summary

Bestway Group is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our delivery team in London. You will deliver to a variety of independent retailers, ensuring timely arrivals and high customer service standards.

You will load orders with the depot team, complete multi-drop deliveries in the local area, and maintain accurate paperwork while upholding health and safety and transport regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have a UK HGV Class 2 licence (Cat. C) with Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience in multi‑drop deliveries and good knowledge of the local area.
• Strong understanding of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills; able to work under pressure.
• Flexible approach to working hours and a proactive, team‑oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Load orders with the depot team to ensure correct deliveries.
• Complete daily multi‑drop deliveries in the local area within specified times.
• Manually handling stock on/off the vehicle.
• Ensure all deliveries are recorded and payment is received.
• Accurate recording of paperwork and meticulous administration.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects immediately.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with procedures.
• Maintain transport compliance at all times.
• Provide the highest level of service to customers.
• Maintain high health and safety standards and safe working practices.
• Ensure vehicle, stock and equipment are secure at all times.

We currently have an opportunity for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. You will be delivering to a wide variety of independent retailers within the local area, ensuring that they receive their orders in a timely manner and experience fantastic customer service.

The Ideal Candidate

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience in multi-drop driving.
• Good knowledge of the local area.
• Good understanding of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively and independently under pressure.
• Flexible approach to working hours as delivery round times may vary depending on workload.
• A good team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
• The ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
• Initiative along with the willingness to learn and develop their skills.
• Drive and determination to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
