Job summary

Bestway Group is hiring an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our delivery operations. You will deliver orders from a Delivery Centre or Hub to customers, loading and unloading, and ensuring safe, on-time service with excellent customer care.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, pension, 22 days annual leave, and onsite parking as part of our benefits. A valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and Tachograph card are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) UK driving licence and CPC.
• possess Digital Tachograph Card and knowledge of transport regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries within the local area, ensuring orders are on time.
• Coordinate with the depot team to load orders correctly before departure.
• Load and unload stock safely and efficiently.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and collect payments when required.
• Drive responsibly, complying with legal and company requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects and maintain records.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock and equipment security at all times.
• Uphold high standards of customer service.
• Follow health and safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Keep vehicle and depot clean and organized.
• Ensure transport documentation is maintained per company guidelines.

We currently have an opportunity for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team.

You will be responsible for delivering orders from our Delivery Centre or Hub to customers, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. As a key representative of the business, you will provide excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all transport regulations and company procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence, Driver Qualification Card (CPC), and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent service.
