Job summary

DBR Group Ltd, acting as a Recruitment Business, are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to work at our client who are a household name in the Driving Industry, in Rochdale, Manchester.

This temporary to permanent role offers a steady rota, a start time of 07:00, and a pay of £15.00 per hour. You will operate a curtained vehicle on UK routes, with training provided and a strong emphasis on tachograph compliance.

Qualifications

• Current and up to date CPC licence.
• Current Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years driving experience.
• Curtain sided vehicle experience.
• Pallet work experience.
• UK road network experience.
• Strong knowledge of driver's hours regulations.
• Reliable with good communication and initiative.
• Health & Safety awareness.

This role is a temporary to permanent position.

Duties:

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all road traffic laws and regulations
• Trunk deliveries within the UK
• Delivering/collecting palletised goods to other depots and Palletline sites
• Smart appearance, willing to learn and be trained up
• Full training will be provided
• Excellent tacho knowledge ref sound manual entry and driving hours compliance

Requirements:

• Current and up to date CPC
• Current Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 2 years driving experience
• Curtain sided vehicle experience
• Pallet work experience
• UK road network essential
• Previous driving experience essential
• A good solid awareness of the law relating to driver's hours regulations and tachographs in order to be considered for this position
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable
• You will have good communication skills, both customer and office and able to work using own initiative
• Awareness of Health & Safety

Hours:

• Monday to Friday, start time 07:00 am

Remuneration:

• £15.00 per hour
