Job summary

DBR Group Ltd is actively recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for our client in Rochdale, Manchester. The role is a temporary to permanent position with Monday–Friday 07:00 start and a rate of £16.00 per hour.

You will operate modern 44T vehicles and perform trunk deliveries across the UK, ensuring compliance with tachographs and driving hours. Ideal candidates hold a current HGV licence, CPC, and ADR (preferred) with at least 2 years of experience, curtain sider and pallet handling

Qualifications

• You must have a valid, current HGV licence, a drivers CPC, and ideally ADR driver certificate.
• Minimum 2 years driving experience.
• Curtain sided vehicle experience.
• Pallet work experience.
• UK road network knowledge essential.
• Good communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Trunk deliveries within the UK.
• Deliver/collect palletised goods to depots and Palletline sites.

• Maintain smart appearance and willingness to learn with training.

This role is a temporary to permanent position.

Duties:

• Operate a Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently


• Adhere to all road traffic laws and regulations


• Trunk deliveries within the UK


• Delivering/collecting palletised goods to other depots and Palletline sites, from our Depot in Rochdale driving a modern 44T ton vehicle, Double Deck trailers, box and curtain sider trailers


• Smart appearance, willing to learn and be trained up


• Full training will be provided


• Excellent tacho knowledge ref sound manual entry and driving hours compliance

Requirements:

• You must have a valid, current HGV licence, a drivers CPC, and ideally ADR driver certificate


• Minimum 2 years driving experience


• Coupling Uncoupling experience is essential


• Curtain sided vehicle experience


• Pallet work experience


• UK road network essential


• Previous driving experience essential


• A good solid awareness of the law relating to driver's hours regulations and tachographs in order to be considered for this position


• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable


• You will have good communication skills, both customer and office and able to work using own initiative


• Awareness of Health & Safety

Hours:

Monday to Friday, start time 07:00 am

Remuneration:

£16.00 per hour
