Job summary

Staffline are currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter/Driver for a site in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The role combines driving and shunting duties on a 4-on-3-off pattern (or Wednesday-Saturday / Tuesday-Sunday 17:00-05:00 options) with weekly pay and ongoing support from Staffline.

You will safely move trailers, position for loading, carry out checks, and coordinate with warehouses to maintain smooth trailer flow.

Qualifications

• 2 years C+E experience.
• Happy with trunking duties.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Digi card and DCPC.

Responsibilities

• Safely moving HGVs/trailers around the yard or site.
• Positioning trailers for loading/unloading.
• Carrying out vehicle checks (pre-use and defect reporting).
• Coordinating with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth trailer flow.
• Following site safety procedures and traffic management rules.
• Depot to depot trunking.

2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE

We are currently seeking 1 x experienced Class 1 Driver Shunter for our client in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The position is 4 on 3 off or Wednesday to Saturday or Thursday to Sunday 17:00 - 05:00 shifts. The role will be a mixture of driving and shunting duties as required.

PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 1 Shunter/Driver, you will be responsible for all aspects of safe and efficient movement and positioning of vehicles within a controlled site environment and depot to depot trunking work.

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to;

• - Safely moving HGVs/trailers around the yard or site.
