Job summary

HG Recruitment is hiring HGV Class 1/Shunter Drivers in Wigan for day and night shifts with 4 on 4 off pattern and 12-hour shifts. Roles include shunting trailers, moving and positioning trailers, and vehicle checks within a busy transport operation.

Offers weekly pay, ongoing shifts, and competitive pay rates with 8-hour minimum per shift and 24/7 support from the team. Immediate starts available in Wigan.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid UK HGV Class 1 licence.
• You must have a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Minimum 6 months experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time rules.

Responsibilities

• Moving and positioning trailers safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer checks.
• Following all site health & safety procedures.

• Days: Mon-Fri £22.41 (Rolled up) Saturday £23.76, Sunday £25.05
• Nights: Mon - Fri £23.53 (Rolled up) Saturday £24.88, Sunday £26.17
• Overtime if applicable (Over 48 hours £39.02)

***Estimated weekly pay Nights: £1,402.58 per weekbased on 55 hrs***
