Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter in Hinckley to support a major parcel distribution client. You will drive, move trailers, and complete routine route paperwork, ensuring safety and compliance on every shift.

Shifts vary with 8–12 hour options; regular, ongoing work with weekly pay and immediate starts. Applicants must hold a Class 1 licence, UK DCPC, Digi-tacho, and have at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.

• UK DCPC & Digi-tacho cards required.

Shifts:

Various shifts available - Monday to Sunday or the option of 4 on 4 off; 8, 10 or 12 hours

HGV Class 1 Driver - The role & responsibilities:

• Driving aClass 1 vehicle
• Moving trailers and tug units safely
• Standard route paperwork
• Pre & post route vehicle checks

About you:

You will have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience in commercial driving.You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.As a professional driver, you will have a good knowledge of the Working Time Directive and be able to manage your hours accordingly.

You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
