Job summary

HG Recruitment is recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunters in partnership with EVRi Rugby. The role involves nights 17:45–06:30 on a 5 on / 2 off rota, with yard shunting, inter-site runs and trailer movements.

Earn up to £52,416 per year with uplift during the specified period; comprehensive benefits include pension, on-site training and 24/7 support. You will work at the EVRi Distribution Centre in Rugby and provide first-class customer service.

Qualifications

• HGV C+E Class 1 licence – minimum 6 months experience.
• Digi Tacho & CPC cards required.
• Max 6 points for minor endorsements.
• Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Driver’s Hours).
• Good national geographical awareness.

Responsibilities

• Yard shunting and trailer movements.

• Securing loads to minimise damage.
• Provide excellent customer service and own delivery issues.
• Carry out depot trailer movements.

HGV Class 1 Shunter – earn up to £52,416 per year

HG Recruitment are recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunters in partnership with EVRi Rugby.

Shift Pattern:

Nights: 17:45 – 06:30
5 on / 2 off rota

Pay Rates:

• Days (06:00–19:00): £18.49 – £19.57 p/h
• Nights (19:00–06:00): £20.85 – £24.24 p/h
• Saturdays: £19.90 p/h
• Sundays: £23.03 p/h

Estimated Weekly Pay (48h nights): £1,000.80

Estimated Annual Earnings: £52,416

Duties:

• Yard shunting and trailer movements
• Inter-site runs
• Yard control and positioning trailers
• Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
• Always provide excellent customer service and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
• HGVShunterdriversmust Carry out depot trailer movements.
• Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary
• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
• Be a good timekeeper and be able to work unsupervised
• Possess an Enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards delivering first class customer service
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
