Job summary

Culina is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Leeds site for general haulage deliveries across the region. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off pattern with night shifts starting at 18:00 and pay rates ranging from £16.35 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift.

On top of base pay, drivers receive a tax-free £5 meal allowance per shift and a range of additional benefits. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for progression within Culina's nationwide transport network.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR convictions.
• Current DCPC & Tachograph cards.
• Understand Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Carry out vehicle checks for safety.

Responsibilities

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers to DCs and Stores.
• Occasional store deliveries and loading/unloading cages.
• Complete vehicle checks and documentation.
• Maintain high safety, compliance and professionalism.
• Work with transport team for smooth operations.
• Adhere to Driver’s hours, WTD and tachograph regulations.

Job Description

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our customer Site Unilever in Leeds, for our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The role is full time, working on a permanent basis and will be working on a 4 on 4 offshift pattern and we have opportunities working Nights:

• Night Shift 18:00

Pay Rates:

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from£16.35 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Nights- £16.35per hour
• Satand SunNights- £18.65per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.96per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance

Driver Responsibilities:

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
• Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

Qualifications

• You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
