Job summary

Driver Require LTD in Lichfield is seeking Class 1 drivers for night shifts. The role involves delivering to RDCs, swapping trailers, and ensuring road-worthy loads. A 4-hour driving window between 13:00-21:00 is available, with start times around 13:00–21:00.

Weekday rates start at £210 per day, rising to £235 with holiday pay; weekend rates are £235 per day, rising to £264.50 with holiday pay. This position requires a valid CPC and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads.
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions.
• Driver CPC qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to RDCs multi-drop and swap trailers.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Liaise with customers and transport team about deliveries.
• Manage driving time to avoid infringements.

Main Responsibilities

Delivering to RDC's multi-drop and swap trailers some potential live loadEnsure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy and do not pose a threat to other road-users.Liaising with CustomersAbide by customers rules and regulations whilst on siteLiaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereaboutsEffectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements.
