Job summary

Driver Require LTD are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for a manufacturing company based in Lichfield. We’re looking for morning or night shifts, with any 4 hour window between 13:00-21:00, and days arranged as any 5 out of 7 including weekends.

PAYE Day Pay Rates include Weekday £210.00 (£235.30 with holiday pay) and Weekend £235.00 (£264.50 with holiday pay). Duties cover multi-drop deliveries, pre‑trip checks, and close liaison with customers and the Transport Team.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads.
• Driver CPC qualification is required.
• No major convictions and a licence with <= 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to RDCs, multi-drop runs and swapping trailers.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Liaise with customers and on-site staff per customer rules.
• Keep Transport Team informed of delivery status and whereabouts.
• Manage driving time to avoid infringements.

• Delivering to RDC's multi-drop and swap trailers some potential live load


• Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy and do not pose a threat to other road-users.


• Liaising with Customers


• Abide by customers rules and regulations whilst on site


• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts


• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements.
