Job summary

Tomlin Personnel Ltd is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers for regular ongoing work across the UK, starting immediately from Sleaford and surrounding areas. You may drive Curtain Sider, Box Trailer or Flat Bed units, with flexible start times for days or nights.

Essential licences and cards must be current (HGV Class 1, CPC, Digi card). You must be punctual, presentable, and capable of maintaining clear communication with sites while on shift.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence required.
• CPC for Class 1 up to date.
• Digi card for Class 1 up to date.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic required.
• Punctual and well presented at all times.
• Good communication with sites and team.
• Experience with Curtain Sider/Box Trailers advantageous, Flat Bed available.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 HGV to manufacturing sites and other sites across the UK.
• Various start times: Days 04:00–08:00, Nights from 16:00 onwards.

Our long established logistics client based Sleaford Lincolnshire has an urgent requirement for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team on a regular ongoing basis.

Job Description.

Work involves Class 1 HGV Driving work to Manufacturing Sites or other similar sites across the UK. Various start times available ranging from Days 0400am to 0800am and Nights from 1600pm onwards.

Experience with Curtain Sider or Box Trailers would be an advantage but not essential, we also have Flat Bed work available should you require this type of work instead.

Licence requirements:

HGV Class 1 Licence

Up to date CPC for your Class 1

Up to date Digi card for your Class 1

You Must:

Have a positive attitude and a great work ethic

Be punctual

Smart appearance as you will be representing the company (no Jeans etc.)

Keep vehicle clean and to a good standard

Good communication skills are essential for this position as you might be needed to be contactable throughout the shift

Salary:

Days per hour: £16.00 ph (PAYE), £18.50 ph (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Night per hour: £17.00 ph (PAYE), £19.50 ph (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Days/Nights - Saturdays - £18.00 (PAYE), £21.00 (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)

Days/Nights - Sundays - £20.00 (PAYE), £23.00 (Inc Holiday Pay Via our Umbrella Paye)
