Job summary

Driver Require is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for a manufacturing site in Lichfield. We are seeking morning or night shifts with a 4-hour window between 13:00-21:00, on ongoing basis. Night/weekend availability qualifies for enhanced rates.

Deliveries include multi-drop runs to RDCs, with daily vehicle checks and strict compliance with site rules. You will liaise with customers and the transport team to keep everyone informed of delivery status and timings.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience of driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads.
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's).
• Driver CPC qualification card.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to RDC’s multi-drop and swap trailers some potential live load.
• Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy and do not pose a threat to other road-users.
• Liaising with Customers
• Abide by customers rules and regulations whilst on site
• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept apprised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don’t acquire infringements.
