Job summary

DSV is seeking an experienced HGV Driver Class 1 for our Purfleet operations. This tramping role involves nights out in the vehicle and working across UK routes, with guaranteed 48-hour minimums.

You will manage loads, ensure secure packing, and handle paperwork while maintaining compliance with driving hours and safety regulations. Join a global logistics leader with extensive network coverage and a focus on safety, efficiency, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• HGV Class 1 license with up to 6 points.
• No DD, DR, DG or IN Endorsements.
• Valid Digicard.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Good understanding of EU and Working Time Directive driver hours regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load and transfer cargo onto the vehicle and secure it as instructed.
• Pack and arrange cargo safely to prevent damage.
• Unload cargo safely according to customer requirements.
• Complete all required paperwork in line with company and statutory requirements.
• Comply with cargo handling regulations, including hazardous cargo where applicable.
• Communicate with the office regarding delays or problems.
• Check vehicle to ensure it meets company and statutory requirements and report faults.
