Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Immingham, United Kingdom, is seeking a HGV Driver Class 1 for a tramp working pattern with a guaranteed 48-hour minimum week. You will handle ferry trailer work from UK ports, with regular nights out and meal allowances.

You will load, secure, and unload cargo, complete required paperwork, and comply with transport regulations including driving hours and hazardous cargo rules. A valid HGV1 licence, CPC and Digicard are required.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence with up to 6 points.
• No DD/DR/DG/IN endorsements.
• Valid Digicard and Driver CPC.
• Understanding of EU driving hours regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load and transfer cargo onto the vehicle and secure it per instructions.
• Ensure cargo is packed safely and without damage.
• Unload cargo safely and in accordance with customer requirements.
• Complete all required paperwork and driver documents.
• Maintain compliance with Working Time Directive and driving hours regulations.
• Check vehicle for faults and report to supervisor/operator as needed.
• Operate vehicle legally and safely at all times.
