Job summary

GXO Glasgow is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team, supporting our customer B&Q. You’ll work a pattern of any five days from seven, on PM shift (12:00–17:00).

The role involves multidrop/trunking deliveries and loading/unloading duties, with a strong focus on safety and customer service. We offer an annual salary of £47,454.53 plus an early shift premium (£3.70/hr 04:00–06:00) and potential extra shift premium (£244.25).

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards. No more than 6 current penalty points.
• Endorsements DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements not allowed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a mix of multidrop and trunking deliveries, while collecting waste from stores in line with operational requirements.
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time.
