Job summary

Driver Hire Preston is recruiting 6 Class 1 HGV drivers for nights-out work. Roles involve four nights out (Mon-Thu) with a Friday return, based in or around Preston. You will be responsible for daily vehicle checks and compliance with tachograph rules, with an emphasis on safety, reliability and punctuality.

Ideal candidates hold a C+E licence, current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, and a licence with ≤6 points. We welcome drivers from Blackpool and surrounding areas to apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold C+E driving licence and CPC Card with a Digital Tachograph Card.
• Licence with 6 points or less for minor offences.
• Be reliable, punctual and able to look after the vehicle.

HGV Drivers Class 1 Tramping – Nights Out

Nights out Tramping start Monday, Back Friday.

We are looking for 6 Class 1 HGV Drivers to carry out tramping work.

As a Class 1 HGV Driver you must have:

• C+E driving Licence
• Current CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• 6 points or less on your licence for minor offences.
• Be keen to look after your vehicle and be reliable and punctual

HGV Class 1 Driver responsibilities include:

• 4 nights out, Monday to Thursday, run back on Friday.
• Daily walk round and Vehicle checks. Reporting existing damage and defects.
• Correct use of Tachograph and drivers hours

We have found other driving, logistics and warehouse professionals to be successful such as
Class 1 or Class 2 or 7.5 Ton or Heavy Goods Driver and other commercial driving professions.

These positions are commutable from Blackpool, Fleetwood, Garstang, Southport, Chorley, Leyland, Bamber Bridge and other areas nearby.
