Job summary

Driver Hire Bolton & Wigan is recruiting an experienced Class 1 LGV Driver to join a reputable transport operation in Skelmersdale. This is a temporary to permanent role covering UK-wide deliveries and occasional nights out.

You will drive across the UK, manage collections, and serve customers professionally, ensuring deliveries are safe and on time. A valid Class 1 licence and CPC, with at least 1 year LGV driving experience, are required.

Qualifications

• Class 1 (LGV) licence required
• Valid CPC required
• Minimum 1 year LGV driving experience preferred; others may be considered after assessment
• Drivers must be aged 25+ for insurance purposes
• No more than 6 points and no certain disqualification codes
• Right to work in the UK is essential
• Desirable: Manual Handling, Health & Safety and First Aid training

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable company, for an experienced Class 1 LGV Driver to join their team. This is a temporary to permanent position.

The role is based in Skelmersdale, with work covering UK-wide/GB deliveries. This is a tramping role, so drivers should be prepared to complete nights out away from base as and when required.

Requirements

• Class 1 (LGV) licence
• Valid CPC
• Minimum 1 year's LGV driving experience is advantageous. Less than 1 year's experience may be considered subject to a satisfactory driving assessment.
• Drivers must be aged 25 & over for insurance purposes
• No more than 6 points on licence and noDD, DR, DG, CD, AC, IN, BA or SE/TT codes
• Full right to work in the UK
• Less than 1 year's experience may be considered subject to a satisfactory driving assessment
• Professional attitude and good communication skills
• Reliable and proactive approach to work

Desirable: Manual Handling, Health & Safety and First Aid training.

Pay Rates: All advertised pay rates are inclusive of holiday pay accrual.
