Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of our client in Belfast (BT36) for a HGV Class 1 Driver on a temp to perm basis. You will safely transport palletised parcels to and from sub-depots and delivery units, completing around 3-4 runs per shift.

Key requirements include a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, Tachograph card, and good knowledge of the Working Time Directive. Excellent communication and a safety-first mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

Pay & Shifts

£19.87 per hour PAYE

Start Time: 22:00pm to 23:59pm

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Location: Belfast, BT36

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting palletised parcels to and from sub-depots and delivery units.

• Safely handling and transporting palletised packages to sub-depots.
• Completing approximately 3-4 runs per shift. Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery records.
• Assisting with loading and unloading the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Following all company health and safety procedures.
• Providing professional and courteous customer service.
• Representing the company in a positive and professional manner.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (C+E) entitlement.
• Valid and in-date DCPC (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence - minor offences only.
• Good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
• Willingness to complete a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A strong safety-first mindset.
