Job summary

Culina Group seeks an HGV Class 1 Driver for night shifts. Deliveries to customer premises and regional centres, with occasional multi-drop work and potential night out. You will report at shift start, perform accurate paperwork, and adhere to hours regulations.

We require a valid C+E license, Driver CPC and tachograph cards, and clean license. On-site role with strong safety, service and compliance focus.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E/HGV Class 1 license.
• Current UK Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• No more than 6 points; no DD/DR convictions.
• Experience with night shifts and start times listed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, with most deliveries completed as backdoor tip.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries depending on customer demand.
• Occasional Night out may be required.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and communicate delays, issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company rules, health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Take responsibility for the unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service.

HGV Class 1 Driver- Nights| Permanent Full-Time Opportunities

Start Times: 13:00 - 17:00

Available Shift Patterns: Thursday - Monday

Salary: £17.04 per hour , plus a £1.50 per hour uplift for weekend shifts and £1.50 per hour for hours between 6pm & 4am. Overtime is paid at 1.3x the hourly rate for all hours over 50 hours per week.

What You'll Be Doing

Job requirements

• Valid C+E License.
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 points on your license and no DD or DR code convictions.
• Current valid UK Driver CPC qualification card and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
