Job summary

People Solutions in Bristol is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for night-shift, multi-drop work based in Avonmouth. You will join a well-established client, delivering up to 11 drops per shift and operating Category C+E trucks while earning competitive hourly rates with a guaranteed 10-hour minimum.

The ideal candidate holds a UK Category C+E licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph cards, with strong English, punctuality, and knowledge of UK road laws.

Qualifications

• Requires valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence.
• - Must hold a valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• - No more than six penalty points.
• - Good spoken and written English.
• - Two years of C+E driving experience preferred.
• - Night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform Class 1 multi-drop deliveries up to 11 drops per night.
• - Operate Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently.
• - Carry out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• - Load and secure goods and ensure correct loading.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver - Multi-Drop - Bristol to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent night-shift work.

This role would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £21.49 per hour
• 10-hour minimum shift payment guaranteed

Shift Pattern:

• 5 days on, 3 days off
• 18:00 start times

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will work:

• Class 1 multi-drop deliveries, completing up to 11 drops per night
• Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly
• Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
• A minimum of two years' experience driving C+E vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
• A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
• Effective communication skills
