Job summary

People Solutions is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for night‑shift multi‑drop work based from Avonmouth, Bristol. This is a stable role with excellent hourly rates, ongoing shifts and weekly pay, offering real opportunities for progression.

You will perform up to 11 drops per night, drive Category C+E vehicles safely, carry out pre- and post‑trip checks, load and secure goods as required, and maintain compliance with UK road transport rules.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E driving licence.
• At least two years' experience driving C+E vehicles.
• No more than six penalty points.
• UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Strong punctuality and timekeeping.
• Understanding of UK road traffic laws.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries, completing up to 11 drops per night.
• Operate Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carry out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all goods are loaded and secured correctly.
• Adhere to UK traffic laws and transport regulations.
• Communicate effectively with transport office and customers.
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements.
• Assist with loading and unloading when required.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver - Multi-Drop - Bristol to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent night-shift work.

This role would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £21.49 per hour
• 10-hour minimum shift payment guaranteed

Shift Pattern:

• 5 days on, 3 days off
• 18:00 start times

Day-to-Day Duties:

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
• Effective communication skills
