Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known client in Rugby for multiple HGV Class 1 drivers (CAT C+E). 0 experience needed and on-site refresher training offered to newly qualified drivers. Hours: Days/Nights across Monday to Sunday with average shift length of 12 hours.

Trunking between depots, collecting parcels, and moving trailers are key duties. Full UK licence with C+E, DCPC and Tachograph cards required; strong communication and a safety-first mindset are

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Successful completion of assessment including theory and practical elements.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
• Collect parcels from customers, including full trailer collections, drop and swap operations.
• Assist with yard movements and shunting duties when required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
• Follow traffic laws, regulations and company policies for safety.
• Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Rugby area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

0 experience needed!

FREE Onsite Refresher Training offered to Newly Qualified drivers.

Hours: Days/Nights across Monday to Sunday with various start times available, average shift length of 12 hours.

Pay Rates:

• Monday - Thursday : £15.50 to £19.72
• Friday: £16.46 to £20.52
• Saturday: £16.76 to £21.91
• Sunday: £19.55 to £23.12

Location: Rugby, CV23.

Job Type: Long term ongoing.

The role:

• Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
• Collect parcels from well-known customers, including full trailer collections, drop and swap operations.
• Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).

• Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.
