Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client TRC Yorkshire for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team. Shifts run Mon-Sun with afters/nights and varied hours in Leeds, LS27.

Pay rates include £18.15ph PAYE (Mon-Fri), £23.52ph Sat, £25.25ph OT, £26.25ph Sun, and £34.25 Bank Holidays. Role involves trucking to customer sites, hub deliveries, team coordination, and site tacho downloads.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• At least 12 months proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months.
• Flexibility to work across Monday to Sunday with start times 12:00–21:00.
• Ability to travel to local site for tacho card download prior to being put forward.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Engage in customer work, taking the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, delivering it to a hub, and returning to the depot.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Travel to local sites for a one-off download of the tacho card prior to being put forward for the position.
• Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.
