Job summary

Lockwood Group Ltd in Sutton-in-Ashfield is hiring professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join our Sutton-based team. We operate a modern fleet and provide full training, including ADR and CPC, with a focus on safe, timely deliveries and top customer service.

The role offers a 44-hour basic week (Mon to Fri), with earnings of £31,574.40 base and £41,868 OTE, plus a graded bonus up to £2,400 per year. We provide pension, PPE, and free on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, and Digi card are required.
• Strong knowledge of Tachograph and WTD rules.
• Experience with Class 1 driving is preferred but not essential.

We are currently looking for professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our Sutton-in-Ashfield team. We operate a modern fleet of premium brand vehicles, offer fantastic training opportunities, and are proud to be a DVSA Earned Recognition operator.

What You Can Earn

• Basic Salary: £31,574.40 (Based on a minimum 44-hour week at £13.80 per hour)

• Realistic OTE: £41,868.00 (Based on an average 55 hour week + achieving a monthly Grade A bonus)

• Performance Bonus: Graded driver performance bonus (Grade A–D) worth up to£2,400.00 per annum

The Role

• Schedule: Monday to Friday (44 hours basic week)

• Work Type: General Haulage

• Tech-Driven: Use of the latest technology, including electronic POD devices and electronic walk-around checks (full training provided)

• Key Focus: Maintain excellent customer service, deliver goods in a timely and professional manner, and ensure accurate, timely communication with the Transport team

What You Need

• Qualifications: Fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, valid CPC, and valid Digi card

• Knowledge: A good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules

• Attributes: Reliable, punctual, flexible, with good verbal communication and excellent customer service skills

• Experience: Previous Class 1 experience is preferred but not essential.
