Job summary

The Lockwood Group is recruiting professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for Sutton-in-Ashfield with nationwide UK sites. You will work a 44-hour week, Monday to Friday, in a safety‑moced environment using electronic POD and walk-around checks with full training.

Earn a basic salary of £31,574.40, realistic OTE of £41,868 and a graded driver bonus up to £2,400 per year, plus generous benefits including a pension, PPE and 28 days of annual leave.

• Fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with valid CPC and Digi card.
• Good understanding of tachograph and WTD rules.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 44 hours.

• Maintain excellent customer service and communicate with Transport team.

We are currently looking for professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our Sutton-in-Ashfield team. We operate a modern fleet of premium brand vehicles, offer fantastic training opportunities, and are proud to be a DVSA Earned Recognition operator.

What You Can Earn

• Basic Salary: £31,574.40 (Based on a minimum 44-hour week at £13.80 per hour)
• Realistic OTE: £41,868.00 (Based on an average 55 hour week + achieving a monthly Grade A bonus)
• Performance Bonus: Graded driver performance bonus (Grade A-D) worth up to £2,400.00 per annum

The Role

• Schedule: Monday to Friday (44 hours basic week)
• Work Type: General Haulage
• Tech-Driven: Use of the latest technology, including electronic POD devices and electronic walk-around checks (full training provided)
• Key Focus: Maintain excellent customer service, deliver goods in a timely and professional manner, and ensure accurate, timely communication with the Transport team

What You Need

• Qualifications: Fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, valid CPC, and valid Digi card
• Knowledge: A good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules
• Attributes: Reliable, punctual, flexible, with good verbal communication and excellent customer service skills
• Experience: Previous Class 1 experience is preferred but not essential.
