Job summary

The Lockwood Group is seeking professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team on a 4 on/4 off day shift pattern. We offer a basic salary of £33,670.00 per year plus a performance bonus and structured training in a growing family-owned business. Modern fleet, pension, and career development are part of our package.

Successful candidates will have a Class 1 licence, CPC and tachograph card, and commit to safe, high-quality service. Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general haulage safely and efficiently.
• Work 4 on/4 off day shifts.
• Operate with driver technology and digital records (training provided).
• Deliver excellent customer service at pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain clear communication with Transport Team.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.

As our business continues to expand, we're looking for professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team on a 4 on/4 off Day shift pattern.

Whether you're an experienced driver or you've recently passed your Class 1 test, we'd love to hear from you. Our dedicated Driver Assessors and Mentors will provide the support and training you need to succeed.

The Role

• As one of our professional drivers, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our customers by:
• Completing general haulage deliveries safely and efficiently
• Working 4 on/4 off day shifts
• Operating the latest driver technology, including electronic PODs and digital walk-around checks (full training provided)
• Delivering exceptional customer service at every collection and delivery
• Maintaining clear communication with our Transport Team
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time

What We're Looking For

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Previous Class 1 experience is desirable, but newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
