Resonate Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for temporary driving assignments across Southampton and the surrounding Hampshire area. Earn £18–£20 per hour with overtime at £24 and enjoy ongoing opportunities with established transport operators.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / LGV C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations and road safety requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow delivery instructions.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and relevant paperwork.
• Based within a commutable distance of Southampton, Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle in line with road traffic regulations and company procedures.
• Complete deliveries and collections in a safe and timely manner.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure loads are secured correctly and transported safely.
• Complete delivery paperwork, proof of delivery documents and any relevant vehicle records.
• Maintain communication with transport planners, customers and the relevant depot.
• Follow drivers' hours regulations and working time requirements.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care, professionalism and customer service.
