Top Tier Recruitment in Southampton is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a well‑established transport and logistics provider. You will handle container moves from Southampton Port, collect containers, and deliver to customer locations across the UK, returning to the depot for the next day’s work.

These full-time roles are Monday–Friday with 06:00 starts, typically 10–14 hour shifts. PAYE via umbrella and a supportive team structure are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum of 3 penalty points.
• Newly passed drivers welcome but preferred experienced.
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations.

Responsabilités

• Container work from Southampton Port.
• Collect containers and deliver to customer locations throughout the UK.
• Return to depot to collect and load the following day's container.

Top Tier Recruitment are currently recruiting for a number of HGV Class 1 Drivers on behalf of a well‑established transport and logistics provider based in the Southampton area.

Our client has built a strong reputation within the container and general haulage sector, providing reliable transport solutions to a wide range of customers across the UK. Due to continued growth and increased customer demand, they are now looking to expand their driving team with professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers.

The Role

• Container work from Southampton Port
• Collect containers and deliver to customer locations throughout the UK
• Return to depot to collect and load the following day's container
• Typical shifts between 10 and 14 hours per day
• Monday to Friday work
• 06:00 start times

• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and professionally

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Newly passed class 1 welcome to apply but would prefer previous driving experience.
• Maximum of 3 penalty points
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A professional and safety‑conscious approach to work

Desirable

• Previous container experience preferred but not essential
• Port card advantageous but not required
